Project

Gender Equality and Poverty across the Life Cycle

Project Description

My doctoral thesis aims to examine how the interrelations between gender equality and poverty play out across the life cycle. More specifically the aim is to determine how the experience of poverty differs between men and women across the life cycle and explore whether current methods of poverty measurement adequately highlights gendered differences in the experience of poverty. The research seeks to examine the role public policy has to play in re-enforcing these experiences.
